Better Things to Count
Updated: Mar 24
As we are constantly aware of the Covid Case Counters escalating, it's a good time to count other things...like the 9 sunrises (or 8 sunrises and a sunset) from our lake house above
my 1200 amazing physician colleagues at UF Health, ready and willing to care for all who need us. Along with more than 3500 nurses and other staff members. I'm privileged to work with such skilled, compassionate and dedicated people.
my 1 husband, 3 kids, 2 parents, 2 siblings, 14 nieces/nephews, 6 in-laws + spouses and 2 dogs (yeah, lots will question the dogs listed last, but they are the only ones who won't complain).
my 10 bestest writing buddies (all of whom will question the term "bestest," but not whether they're one of the number)
my 1 publishing contract - wahoo!
my 7 senior medical students who all matched into their preferred specialties last week (Congratulations!)
the uncountable number of azaleas blooming outside my window the last several weeks
my 15 favorite books (okay, so including series is cheating...whatever).
